Welcome to another edition of “What’s Neue from 9 to 5”. In this segment, 9 questions would be about people’s opinion on general and everyday things, while the last 5 questions would be fairly chill and more tongue in cheek.
We here at Neue believe that every person out there has a story to tell.
This week, we find out What’s Neue with Fatin Muzini, a talented songbird in her own right.
She’s a full-time workaholic and a part-time singer who loves to have her cake and eat it too.
According to her, that alone says a lot if you read between the lines. Click here for an ‘Urban Dictionary’ definition of what she meant ?
Without further ado, let’s see how she responds to this week’s 9 to 5 questions.
The Tough 9’ers:
1. What do you think are the 5 most beautiful things in the world?
(i) I’m happy to say that there are still selfless people in the world who do things without complaining and with no agenda. Why I think it’s beautiful? Because I feel like these kind of human beings are rare. Human beings are generally opportunistic. So, for someone to do things without any agenda, is just rare, I feel.
(ii) Nature in its untouched form. It’s just truly a beautiful sight to be surrounded by nature.
(iii) The unconditional love of a parent for their children. There are just some heinous people out there! And yet I’ve seen parents … no matter what … always standing up for their children. I think that’s either incredibly amazing or foolish. But I guess I won’t know until I have children of my own.
(iv) Fashion and art. I’m absolutely fascinated at how people are able to “create” something.
(v) Architecture is probably up there with fashion and art as they are somewhat interlinked. I’ve always been fascinated by a beautiful building and the amount of detail that goes into the design.
2. Do you live to work or work to live?
I definitely live to work. Go ask my friends! My laptop will be with me even while I’m hanging out with them. Why? Well, it’s like I said before … I’m the kind of person who wants to have her cake and eat it too 🙂
3. Is love just a feeling?
Love is definitely something powerful and it can be strong but only if people nurture it. It’s not something you should take for granted but I guess that’s with anything … not just love.
4. Do you believe in true love?
I definitely do! Although sometimes I do think that all those romantic movies out there have “brainwashed” our minds to give us an unrealistic impression of true love.
But I’d like to believe that there is such a thing. I guess you could say that I’m just a romantic … (but deep down, not an obvious one!)
5. What’s something you enjoy doing that you never get tired of?
I would say singing! Well, at least until my voice gives out. Singing just calms me, especially after a stressful day. It’s just a nice feeling to be able to belt out a song that I’m really into.
6. Do you think Artificial Intelligence will end up benefiting, harming or destroying humanity?
I think with anything, whether its Artificial Intelligence (AI) or having too much sugar, there are always pros and cons to everything.
But if I had to choose a side, I’d say there would be more benefits with AI. However, there would just have to be security checks to balance out the cons.
7. What bridges are you happy you burned?
Letting go of people who were not the most genuine friends.
There’s a saying that a few of my friends have said to me – You are your five friends!
That said, this is why the people I choose to surround myself with those who I feel would inspire me to be the best person I can be.
8. What are you most determined to do in your life?
I’m determined to own a house and have my own space. I’d also like to continue my studies and maybe look into becoming a certified trainer.
9. At what point in your life were you most happy?
I am pretty content with where I am at now.
Perhaps for most people, it’s that carefree time when they were a child.
But life happens and then you grow up having so many insecurities about yourself.
And as you get older, I feel that you shed a little bit of that more … and eventually becoming more comfortable in your own skin.
The Easy 5’ers:
1. If you could make a rule for a day and everyone had to follow it, what would it be?
To do one kind act for someone every single day. Something like that could do a lot for a person’s wellbeing, whether it’s for the person who’s doing the kind act or the one receiving it.
2. Could you go for a week without your smart phone?
Definitely not! My work is social media so I just don’t think that’s possible at all!
3. Would you rather always say everything on your mind or never speak again?
Definitely say everything on my mind! I pretty much am that person anyway so it’s just a matter of going all the way.
4. If you could use a time machine to go back in time to fix one thing or go to the future to see what it is like … Which would you do?
I don’t think I would change any circumstances or events that have happened in my life. What I would change is perhaps some fashion choices over the years 🙂
5. If you could choose … living in a real-world ‘Game of Thrones’ or a real-world ‘Walking Dead’? What character would you be?
There’s definitely a lot of strong female characters in ‘Games of Thrones’. It’s probably cliche to say so but I would, of course, want to be Daenerys Targaryen. Come on! She’s the Mother of Dragons! That’s pretty cool!
*Editor’s note: Fatin answered this particular question a few weeks prior to the premiere of Game of Thrones’ Final Season, Episode 5 🙂 Click here for a recap of the episode *spoiler warning*
Bonus question: What would you like to say to all our Neue readers?
Hmm … I’d say every time you’re feeling down and you think you’re in the worst situation always remember that things could be worse. In doing so, it may not be as bad as you think.
