Technology has come a long way to help ease a lot of aspects in our lives, including one’s beauty routine! From personalised, 3D-printed sheet masks to adorable portable razors, here are some beauty gadgets we think are simply innovative, and would look amazing on your vanity.

A sheet mask for any occasion

Are you one of those people that have stacks of sheet masks waiting to be used in the back of your cupboard? (It’s me. I’m people.) While I will probably never give up on keeping a few on hand, especially for big events (or when I’ve got a stubborn pimple), imagine having a device that can conjure a mask for your skin’s needs on the spot!

The Neutrogena MaskiD is a micro 3-D printed face mask that is created by taking shots of 6 different facial zones, scanning the skin for fine lines, pore size and moisture level. For iPhone users, you can use Neutrogena’s Skin360 and SkinScanner with Fit Skin to help assess your skin as well. A personalised mask with special ingredients tailored for the different problem areas of your skin, there’s no skincare issue that can’t be defeated by the power of technology now.

Cute and functional

Sometimes, just using your fingers isn’t enough to get the dirt out of your face, but over-exfoliating is also a risk. Enter the Foreo Luna 2! A sonic-powered facial-cleansing brush, this gadget claims to remove 98.5% of dirt and oil, and “minimise the appearance of blemishes while effectively addressing concens related to aging skin.”

If you’re not a believer in facial-cleansing brushes, perhaps the Foreo might sway you, as it’s made with silicon, which means it’s a low-maintenance tool and it has several intensity levels that allows you to decide the level of cleansing and exfoliating you want for your skin. Plus, it makes a pretty addition to your bathroom sink!

Crystal magic for the skin

A facial roller is more than just a pretty-looking paint roller for your skin — as much as it looks like it. Jade facial rollers have been used since the 17th century in China, according to dermatologist Melissa Kanchanapoomi Levin, M.D., clinical attending at NYU Langone and Mount Sinai Hospital. They’re primarily used to help with blood circulation and de-puffing, or reducing swelling, particularly around the cheeks and eyes.

If you have sensitive skin or you’re prone to puffing up, especially after a lack of sleep, a jade facial roller definitely comes in handy! Rolling a jade roller on your face feels cool and calming for the skin, and some people also claim it helps to improve tone and skin texture too. If you’re not sure, why not try it out for yourself?

Baby smooth skin

Let’s face facts: some of us ladies need a little help getting rid of the fuzz and having smooth skin. And there’s no shame in that at all! But sometimes you might get into a pinch while you’re out, and a razor isn’t something you’d want to carry around in your bag just like that — unless it’s this particular one.

Sphynx’s portable razor was cleverly designed to look inconspicuous and be incredibly useful at the same time! It includes water, a moisturising bar and two razor blades, letting you take on those missed spots and do touch ups on the go.

Volumize!

Not everyone can afford a blowout from the salon for Sunday brunch with your girls, but you don’t need a salon when you’ve got Revlon’s One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer!

Its unique oval brush design is designed to smooth out the knots in your hair, while the rounded edges help to create volume. You can also do beautiful curls with the tool, and it has just enough heat to allow for closer placement to the scalp to create more lift. Say goodbye to tangled knots, and hello to luxurious, shiny hair!
