Have you ever received a gift that you didn’t like? I have.
When I was a kid, I remember asking my father to buy the latest CD album of my then-favourite singer, Michael Jackson
Back in the 1990s, original CD albums would cost about 30 Brunei Dollars (BND).

However, my dad told me that he managed to find one for a “bargain price” of just BND10.
I later found out why it was priced so cheaply. While the CD did have songs by the King of Pop, the vocals, however, were not his. It was an album containing cover songs that were sung by a bunch of unknown singers.
I was so upset that I threw the CD across the living room.
Now before you say that that I was such a SPOILT BRAT, I’d like to reiterate that I was under 10 years old at the time and that I had simply acted out in a fit of rage.
Trust me, I know that’s still a POOR EXCUSE but I just wanted to come clean by sharing that (embarrassing) memory from my childhood before talking about something that caught my attention recently. (Check out YouTube video below!)
Wanted a Jaguar, not a BMW
According to The Times of India, a 22-year-old ran his BMW 3 series into a river in Yamunanagar of the Indian state of Haryana.
The luxury vehicle was a birthday gift given to him by his parents.
Numerous online reports have suggested that the youth who goes by the name of ‘Akash’, had allegedly acted out because he wanted a Jaguar, and not a BMW.
According to 7News, Akash is alleged to have pushed the brand new car into the water after he got upset it was “too small” for him and his friends.
The car is believed to cost between 37.8 lakh and 45.2 lakh rupees (73,000 BND and 88,000 BND) in India, according to AsiaOne.
The car was only retrieved several hours later after some of the villagers enlisted the help of the police, divers and an earthmoving machine.
A police officer, meanwhile, pointed out that Akash had originally gotten a Toyota Innova from his in-laws which his parents had sold to buy him the BMW.
Officials say no charges have been filed against Akash, which according to some reports, was suffering from mental illness.
