Nobody likes the idea of taking a urine sample from their cat. But what if there were a device that did it for you and sent the results straight to your phone?
Something of a robot vet for your home, a new smart cat litter box unveiled at this year’s tech trade fair CES in Las Vegas promises to give pet owners a comprehensive overview of their cat’s health by tracking things like weight and movement.
Checking for things like an overweight house cat, the Caremitou litter box (check out the YouTube video above) from French brand NovandSat SAS will track the number of toilet visits and even take urine samples.
All data on your kitty is then sent straight to an app on your phone via Bluetooth. If anything is off, you can then share the results or urine samples with your vet.
The product, touted as the world’s first digital health litter box for cats, won an innovation award at the 2020 tech show in Las Vegas. No release date or price has been announced. (dpa)
