In case you haven’t heard, a new meme has been conquering social media – and it was started by none other than country queen Dolly Parton.
Recently, the 74-year-old singer initiated what’s since come to be known as the #DollyPartonChallenge, depicting herself in a collage of profile photos tailored for LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Tinder – in other words from professional to raunchy.
”Get you a woman who can do it all,” Parton says with the Instagram meme from January 21, 2020.
Dolly’s LinkedIn photo shows her in a business costume and an updo, while the Tinder pic evokes … well, let’s just say, the Playboy Mansion.
A week later, the meme has not only generated almost 2 million likes, but also more than 200,000 imitations, not only by Dolly fans, but also other celebrities as well.
Parton is currently starring in the US Netflix series “Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings” and also has her own podcast, “Dolly’s America,” which has generated mixed responses from audiences.
Born in 1946, the country musician has been extremely successful over the course of her long career and is known across generations in the United States.
“Where @dollyparton leads, I follow,” Arnold Schwarzenegger posted, attaching pictures from his politics and bodybuilding times.
Actor Will Smith posted a Facebook picture which shows him in green pyjamas and Christmas lights while showcasing his immaculate upper body for the Tinder pic.
Talkshow host Oprah Winfrey took a lighter approach to her Tinder picture, holding up two melons as breasts. (dpa)
