DPAChildren cooped-up during the pandemic are being offered the chance to return to school in a Rolls Royce limo whenever the lockdown is lifted, as part of the British luxury car company’s first Young Designer Competition.
All contestants need to do is let their imaginations run wild and come up with a design of what a future Rolls-Royce could look like.

The choice of materials for entries is not limited to pencils and sketch-pads either. Rolls-Royce said judges welcomes anything from paintings to embroidery and art and design installations.
The competition aims to “encourage a new generation of aspiring designers to breathe life into their automotive dreams,” says the luxury carmaker.
The challenge also serves as a welcome distraction to children and young people confined to their homes during the worldwide coronavirus pandemic.
Entries, from anyone up to 16 years of age from anywhere in the world, are to be submitted by Monday, May 18, 2020 and multiple entries with one design per submission are allowed.
The overall winner will receive a unique rendered illustration of the top design.
Runners-up get a signed certificate from company CEO Torsten Mueller-Oetvoes.
The lucky top British entrant will also be able to enjoy a chauffeur-driven trip to school with a friend in a Phantom limousine once the coronavirus countermeasures draw to an end.
A new Greenpower electric car kit will be donated to the winner’s school, enabling pupils to take part in the company’s junior electric car scheme in Britain.
