This comes highly recommended by @adafied, a mom of two, who insists that this is the one place in Brunei that can be considered the closest to authentic Japanese ramen. “Be sure to try the one with chicken collagen broth,” said A’da Rani, who’s also known as “That Brunei Solo Mom” on TikTok.
2. Matcha Mana

For those who can handle the heat, be sure to give the Spicy Miso Tori Paitan Ramen a go at Matcha Mana, a modest cafe that’s located in the heart of the capital, Bandar Seri Begawan.
“So far I enjoyed Matcha Mana’s Spicy Miso Ramen, for the broth, the handmade ramen noodles and the perfect onsen egg,” said @debbiebaconette, a mother of two who’s passionate about sharing her love for food on social media.

3. Aomori Ramen

Located just above the Bebeland signage in Kiulap, this modest eatery is known for its authentic broth. “The broth at Aomori is what I would consider as ‘normal’ but it hits differently,” said @sabrina.yussof, Digital Executive at Hoco Agency. “I’m not so sure how to describe it … but I can say that it’s good!”

4. Amsarra Ramen & Grill

It’s been 8 weeks since Amsarra Lebanese & Mediterranean Grill served its last ramen at its One Riverside branch on March 24. But fret not, because you can now get your Ramen fix at Amsarra’s branch (Amsarra Ramen & Grill) at the new Impiana Jaya Complex in Kiulap.

5. Wei’s Kitchen (Non-Halal)

This home-based eatery in Kg Mata-Mata is one of the few, if not the only, non-halal Ramen restaurant in Brunei. According to their social media account, it is open from 8.30am to 4pm. However, Ramen will only be served from 10am onwards.
Pro tip: Be sure to give them a call before dropping by as space is limited.
6. Kokoro

This newly opened Japanese-inspired contemporary bar serves exquisitely crafted ramen and fusion dishes. Good luck getting a seat here as the place is usually fully booked!
